Can you make money in direct sales in the Philippines? Yes, why not? But, just like in employment, there are those who are more successful than the others. In our other posts, we believe in partnering with the right company as one precondition to succeed. Second is the development of a working system, and of course, the resiliency and determination of the direct seller concerned.

The story of the success of one Natasha direct seller in the Philippines is worth sharing here. She started as a fruit vendor, joined with Natasha, then purchased a bicycle for collection purposes, then a motorbike. Today, she is already driving a new Toyota SUV, and have already a beautiful house of her own. There live another one also in a remote village when she started as a retailer of Avon, then she joined later on with Natasha and MSE. Today she is already living in a two-storey concrete house from a makeshift bamboo house she used to stay for extended years. All her children also finished college in private schools. And, she is now driving her own TOYOTA Fortuner!

I have another story about a casual acquaintance of mine who is frequenting Ortigas Center, Pasig, specifically at Burgundy Empire Tower, for there are dozens of MLM/Binary companies in this building. I accompanied him once there, and I noticed that he called his friends as "Power." In fact, all their names were changed to "Power."

His mission at Ortigas was to scout for an MLM/Pyramiding company that will help him finance his recruitment activities being already popular as a former "Top Earner" of one certain, but defunct already, MLM company.

This man was able to have a car from his direct selling business, but his MLM company suddenly collapsed (the typical Ponzi/pyramiding scheme). He had his car then assumed as it was not yet fully paid with the bank.

Another friend of mine joined with a US-based MLM (not the scam-infested Filipino made!). She was able to build a three-storey house, sent her children to exclusive schools, and is already earning a residual income of over P200,000 monthly (even without working) after spending over 20 years with her MLM company.

There are hundreds of rags to riches stories in direct sales. It all depends on the right company, the right opportunity, the right timing, and the right attitude of the direct seller.

WHY CAN YOU REALLY MAKE MONEY IN DIRECT SALES IN THE PHILIPPINES?

One reason is that the Philippines can be considered as the best direct-selling hub in Southeast Asia. Our exposure to direct sales for decades already; our democracy; our Christianity; our use of English as a second language; and our ever-increasing population growth are factors that help explain why a US direct sales company will always consider the Philippines in its global expansion programs. Companies throughout the world are attracted to our 96.71 million population in 2012, out literacy, our ever-growing metropolitan cities, and our improving economy. There is always good business prospects in populous countries like ours. In fact, the eyes of the world market are now more focused on China, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines than in Europe because of one simple reason: people--more people, more prospective buyers! A real direct seller in the Philippines today is one whose biggest problem is not buyers, but rather the supply of products, more so in credit-extension direct sales where there is stringent control on credit line.

Can you make money in direct sales in the Philippines? Yes, you can if you will only apply the common rules of success such as prayer, good family relationship, hard work, good attitude, and the ability to take risk.
